The Bear

The Bear MTB Race Colorado

Rattler Racing is excited to be hosting one of Colorado’s original XC races. The Bear is Back! Come join us on April 2, 2022 for a classic front range mountain bike race. The approximate 10 mile loop will have plenty of tough short climbs, killer single track, quick descents and plenty of meandering through Bear Creek Lake Park to keep things interesting. This is the perfect way to test your legs after a long season of training.

Bear Creek Lake Park has supported Rattler events for 7 years and we’re always excited to partner with them. They have developed and maintained excellent trails in the park that we all benefit from. We will keep you posted on volunteer opportunities in 2022 so we can all contribute to the land we love!

Colorado Mountain Bike Championship logo

Rattler Racing is excited to be hosting the Colorado MTB Championship for 2022. We feel the course in Bailey is perfect for an event like this. The course delivers everything you would expect from a XC mountain bike race. It’s a 5 mile world cup style course packed with solid climbing, twisty turns, short technical sections, and fun descents. Year after year this race is voted one of the best MTB races in Colorado, come see why.

Racers will do multiple laps depending on their discipline. The course is set in a beautiful setting and perfect for those that are there to spectate. Tons of opportunities to see your favorite racers multiple times on each lap! The state championship will be a USAC sanctioned event. All racers are required to have a USAC license to race. One-day licenses will be available for $5 on race day.

If you are a student or a parent/guardian of a youth rider and thinking about racing one of our events, WE WANT YOU THERE!  We don’t want you worrying about the cost of registration, so we developed our scholarship program to give athletes of all ages and abilities an opportunity to race. Please consider applying for one of our scholarships. Click logo above to get started.
