We are only a month into “official” summer, but Rattler Racing just closed the books on another fantastic race season. With that, we wanted to send out a note to recap some race day highlights and to share our gratitude and good vibes with our community.
The season kicked off with a record turnout at the Bear. We were excited to see familiar friends and new faces ready to put the pedals into action out at Bear Creek Lake Park.
Fangdango returned with a killer course up in beautiful Bailey, CO. Yes, it was windy, no doubt about that, but served as some great resistance training for the rest of the season.
Industry favorite and Rattler Racing mainstay Mid-Week Melee proved to be another great race for folks to come break the work-week blues by letting loose and having some friendly competition. Again, we had gorgeous weather for both MWM races!
Over Memorial Day weekend we were stoked to spend the holiday weekend with participants that turned out from all over the country and even some racers from overseas! Great weather, scenic views, high energy, and delicious food all made for an event not to be forgotten.
Rattler Racing’s final chapter for 2022 took us back to Bailey, CO for the Colorado State Mountain Bike Championships. A super fun and zippy course paired with a postcard worthy backdrop, and mostly sunny skies set the stage for a great way to end the race season on a high note.
In closing, I can’t stress enough how thankful we are to have the supportive community that we do. Yes, there will always be hiccups in a race season that are unanticipated, so we are appreciative of how understanding all of you were as we worked through some minor bumps. We hope that our commitment to ensuring the BEST race experience possible is evident in the measures we demonstrate. THANK YOU to all our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, venues, spectators, teams, and racers. You all are the reason we do this. Keep an eye out for communication regarding some virtual events that we may add to our lineup. We can’t wait to see you all next year for another exceptional chapter in Rattler Racing history.
A final message I’d like to leave you all with; One of our seasoned race participants shared a most quotable quote that goes a little something like this…”you don’t quit because you get old, you get old because you quit”. Words for avid racers and adventure enthusiasts to live by I’d say!
That’s it for now,
